Collection: Grant Wood

Grant Wood (1891–1942) was an American painter best known for his detailed, realistic depictions of rural Midwestern life. He is most closely associated with the artistic movement called Regionalism, which focused on scenes of everyday American life, especially in the Midwest.

Wood helped define American art during the Great Depression by portraying strong, stoic rural characters during a time of national hardship.
