Splashworks prêt-à-porter solutions, while lovely and robust, may simply not be enough. For these times, there’s Splashworks Custom Shop. We understand the designing life and craft our products and business practices to meet the needs, desires, demands, and deadlines of interior design professionals.
Custom Capabilities
COLOR CORRECTION: Splashworks’ original art source is a digital file. Our expert technicians can work with you to color-correct any piece of art to suit your design needs, pixel by pixel.
ART CURATION: Splashworks enjoys relationships with many established and emerging artists. Additionally, our shop is fully integrated with public domain resources. Splashworks partners with interior designers to source images perfectly aligned with the needs of the space.
ORIGINAL ART: Sometimes, the perfect piece of art is a pristine original. Splashworks is fully equipped to digitize original art for reproduction, always mindful of treating the original with care and respect. Similarly, we can support a private commission to meet your design needs.
ACOUSTICS: Acoustic customizations are soundly in our wheelhouse. Splashworks’ art is printed on richly textured, porous substrates, providing a natural layer of sound absorption. UNIQUE CONFIGURATIONS & UNUSUAL DIMENSIONS: We love to think outside the box. There are times when conventional square or rectangular wall art may not serve your design requirements. Splashworks partners with designers on diptych and triptych solutions – and more. We love to innovate dimensional, faceted, multiple-piece collage creations.
ARCHITECTURAL SOLUTIONS: Splashworks knows its way around CADs, drafting tables, and engineering workrooms. We often join designers, architects, and project managers during the specification process. UNIQUE FABRICATIONS: We are team players. Splashworks is often called upon to collaborate with carpenters, welders, project managers, and a wide variety of tradespeople to crack tricky design problems with from-scratch solutions. Simply put, Splashworks loves to innovate.
WALL COVERINGS: Large-scale printing is a Splashworks core competency. Splashworks can output custom wall coverings to any width by ‘tiling’ the image across multiple bands of material. Length is limited only by the fabric bolt, up to 50 yards. Designers may also customize the substrate with a choice of options, from rough-hewn hemps to smooth synthetic blends. Designers are invited to approve a strike-off before Splashworks proceeds to production.
CUSTOM PROCESS: Splashworks’ custom capabilities are essentially endless – we knock down barriers routinely – but our custom process is totally button-up, with a focus on communication and technical excellence from start to finish. A custom project begins with your email, phone call, questions, and often a sketch. Splashworks will develop a scope of work, provide an estimate with expected lead times, and support you through the entire process.
CUSTOM LEAD TIMES: From material sourcing and production to customer service and shipping, everything happens under one bustling roof at the Splashworks High Point, NC, workroom. We control the process, resulting in industry-best lead times for our clients. Upon final approval of your custom proof or strike-off, custom lead times generally range between 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the complexity of the assignment.
CUSTOM PRICING: A 50% deposit is required at this time, with the balance due prior to shipping.
