Environments designed with an ear to acoustics can lower stress levels all the while enhancing relaxation, peace of mind, and overall quality of life. Additionally, research demonstrates that individuals with sound-sensitive medical conditions, such as autism, general anxiety disorder, Down syndrome, and dementia, benefit from spaces designed with specific acoustic solutions to combat noise pollution. Health, wellness and acoustics are inseparable.
SOUND AND COLOR
Splashworks is a home decor brand specializing in wall art reproductions. Our products are printed on porous substrates, which naturally provide a modest layer of sound absorption. However, we recognized that more was needed. Since our inception in2016, Splashworks has been dedicated to research, development, innovation, and design collaborations to take our colorful and renowned print reproduction expertise and acoustic capabilities to a whole new level.

ART PANELS
Every piece of Splashworks art may be fitted with acoustic panels on the interior of the artwork. While totally invisible to the viewer, the sound-absorbing panels effectively dial down ambient noise in a space.

SOUNDCUBES
Sound bounces and amplifies off hard, flat surfaces. Absorptive substrates and varied surface depths effectively capture and dampen sound. As a result, Splashworks creates innovative multi-piece wall art solutions—from diptychs and triptychs to more elaborate multi-dimensional murals. Panels of the same or varying depths create a sculptural effect that pleases both the eye and the ear.

Sound moves in all directions. Splashworks has responded with innovative acoustic solutions for ceilings. Acoustic baffles, sometimes doubling as art installations, effectively absorb sound while enhancing a designer’s vision for the space:

HANGING BLINDS
Splashworks marries art and acoustics to support professional interior designers' functional and aesthetic goals. Our hanging blind is often the perfect solution. Suspended vertically from the ceiling, the blind enhances the space while providing significant acoustic benefits.

NOISE REDUCTION COEFFICIENT, or NRC, is a measure of sound absorption in the250-4000 HZ range
NRC is measured on a scale of 0.0 (totally reflective with no absorptive properties) to 1.0 (totally absorptive in a range of 250-4000 HZ )
NRC is a useful rating–and industry standard language–for general purpose rooms where speech noise build-up is the primary concern
Overall, Splashworks acoustic solutions range in NRC from 0.5 to 0.95
